1.0 About the Institute:
The Institute of Business Advisers (Nigeria) is the first of its kind in West Africa, second in the entire Africa and also among the first ten in the world. IBA is duly registered under the enabling law after prior approvals from the Federal Ministry of Education and Federal Ministry of Justice.
The Institute is an approved training organization responsible for the assessment, accreditation and continuing professional training and development of Business Advisers in Nigeria.
IBA has been successful with a robust competency based training courses/programmes delivered with correct blend of training delivery methodologies such as Instructor –led training, E-learning and Self Study.
IBA training policy development is in line with world-class standards and leading practices of corporate training institutions in the international arena.

2.0 Training Delivery Methodologies
2.1 Class Based Instructor Led. Training: - These are training programmes facilitated at training venues. This is a traditional method of training programmes where trainees and trainers meet face to face. At the Institute of Business Advisers, class-based training programmes are concluded with or without training assessment depending on the course.

2.2 Online-Based Instructor Led Training:- These are training programmes conducted via internet i.e online. It is also an Instructor led simply because the E-Learning Administration department of the Institute is responsible for online facilitation, explanation and also responding to questions from online students. Programmes under this category are concluded with post training assessment.

2.3 Self-Study Training Programme:- This is a method of training programme where candidates are expected to complete the reading of course materials through independent study. It is a self-study method of learning. All training courses under this category are concluded with mandatory online assessments.

3.1 Single Subject Training Courses:- These are stand-alone training courses that do not include additional topics and sub-topics within the course. Examples of such courses are:

• Team Working & Team Problem Solving Skills
• Business Analysis and Strategy
• Business and Company Incorporation
• World Class Service Delivery for School Teachers.

• Class-Based N15,000 (One day duration)
• Online-Based N10,000 (Two weeks duration)
• Self-Study N5,000 (Self paced with two weeks minimum)

NOTE: For online based and self-study courses, pricing for corps members, undergraduates and job seekers are free. Only candidates who request for training certification will bear the N1000 cost of processing fee (This is not mandatory except for interested trainees only).

3.2 Multiple Subject Training Courses:- These are robust courses with additional topics and sub-topics within the course. Satisfactory completion of any multiple subject training course will qualify candidates for membership status of the Institute. Examples of Multiple Subject training courses and pricing are as follow:

(A) Practice of Consulting Business & Training Services
(B) Private School Business Start-up Consulting e.t.c.

(A) - Class Based N200,000 (One Month of Weekends)
- Online N120,000 (Two Months)
- Self Study (Not applicable)

* Successful completion and evaluation qualifies candidates for the award of Consulting Associate of the Institute. This award include offer of part-time consulting job with IBA or other requesting companies for interested candidates

B) - Class Based N150,000 (Three Weekends duration)
- Online N100,000 (One and half Month duration)
- Self Study (Not applicable)

* Successful completion qualifies candidates as registered members of the Institute. Job seekers, corps members and undergraduates are eligible to participate free of charge after completing membership registration form of the Institute with N2000 registration fee.

4.0 Tuition Free Training Programmes
These are training programmes run by the Institute without charging tuition fee. Example of such is the Young Managing Directors Incubation programme.
4.1 Young Managing Directors Incubation Programme:
This is a tuition free programme designed for teenagers and others not above 20years of age. The Introduction of this scheme by I.B.A took effect immediately after discovering of the youngest managing director in the world whose name is Suhas Gopinath the Founder/Managing Director of Globals Inc. an IT Multinational company which he established at the age of 14. Suhas Gopinath was born on March 10, 1994 at Bengalore, Karnaka India.

This programme is targeted to sow, preserve and nurture the seed of greatness in young ones and rebrand them to a successful Managing Directors before University graduation.

This programme is suitable for Secondary School Students. A proposal will be prepared by the Institute for Consulting staff members to present to school proprietors for mass recruitment of secondary school trainees. The programme duration is six months with combination of both class based and online training.

Tuition is free but a commitment fee of N1, 500 must be paid by each student. Out of this payment, N500 per candidate will be reimbursed to the school management for entrepreneurial development.

NOTE: All other training programmes of the Institute can also run on tuition free basis anytime temporary window opens for training promotions.

5.0 Membership & Grading Structure
IBA membership is structured into seven (7) grades as follows:
• Registered Member (By simple registration)
• Student Member (Registered member undergoing training)
• Associate Member (via class based training or online learning)
• Fellow Member (Research based)
• Consulting Associates (Two months online course with part-time consulting job offer)
• Corporate Institutional Member (For corporate organizations)

  • Trainee Associate Member (This is designed for undergraduates)

• Registration fee for all membership grade is N2,000 except for corporate institutional membership which is N100,000.
• Programme Fees are as follows:
- Trainee Associate Member: N20,000 for online learning & N90,000 for class based
- Associate Member:N70,000 for online learning & N180,000 for class based
- Fellow Member: N200,000
- Consulting Member: N200,000 for class based, N120,000 for online . Serving Corps members/ Job seekers will be allowed to participate free of charge, but such candidate must first register with N2000 and complete membership application form of the Institute.
- Corporate institutional membership does not involve payment of programme fee.

All intending Associate members must complete all twelve training courses either by class based or online learning within six months and one year maximum. Successful participation in business related case study questions and answers in all training courses are mandatory before induction as an Associate.

All Associate members of IBA are qualified to be awarded any of the followings by Pebble Hills University USA

• B.Sc. Degree in Business Administration.
• MBA Degree in Business Administration (Subject to minimum qualification of a Degree/HND)In any discipline.

7.0 Human Capital Business Advisory services
This is one of the Business Advisory Services offered by IBA to various business organizations and employers of labor across Nigeria. The Institute shoulder the employers burden of employment advertisements and also the cost of competency based professional training programmes for new and prospective employees. Job seekers with good performance at post training evaluation test will be deployed to various requesting business/corporate organizations.
Jobseekers also benefit from this programme through participation in various free training courses while full/part-time job placements are also free of charge. Candidates may request for training certificate for any of the training courses they participated in on the condition that they will be willing to bear the cost. The processing fee per training certificate processed is N1000 only (This is not mandatory, only interested trainees can request).

Candidate must be a serving corps member/ unemployed graduate or OND/NCE holder.
• Undergraduates seeking industrial attachment/internship can also apply.
